Gingerbread Ornaments


2 c flour
2 c salt
1 c colored water
2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves

Mix above ingredients together. Roll out flat.
Cut with cookie cutters into desired shapes.
Use cloves, Red Hots, etc. to decorate ornaments.
Using a straw, poke a hole in the top of the
ornament for hanging. Bake at 350 degrees
until hard. String with decorative ribbon.
(Yield: 16-20 ornaments)
(For toast colored water use 2 drops of green,
8 drops of yellow, and 4 drops of red food coloring.)
