We are having so much fun reading about winter animals.  The Mitten, by
Jan Brett, is one of our favorites.  We love to act it out using animal cards
downloaded from Jan Brett's website and an old duvet cover we use as a mitten.

Although it has been rather chilly these past couple of weeks, chances
are slim that we'll get any real snow.  Thank goodness we can make our own!

We enjoy playing with "snow", making igloos out of homemade glitter play dough
cubes, and reading the penguin story Without You.  I had the boys balance their
penguin egg on their feet while the girls and I used a timer to clock away 1 minute.
They did very well and then passed their babies to the mommies.  Then we all
had an egg balancing race relay in the hallway.
