Academics play an important role at FBCS. We use a phonetic approach to reading in preschool and our primary grades. We use tried and true approaches to learning as well as hands-on. We have chapel lessons in addition to having the opportunity to incorporate Christian truth into our core subjects and classroom Bible lessons.

We include music, computer, PE, and the library into our schedules. It allows our students to be well-rounded individuals and shine in other areas in which they may be gifted.

In the spring, we host a University Scholastic League (UIL) academic competition for area private schools. This is another area we encourage our students to excel academically. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring back UIL in the 2021-2022 school year.
